Ocean Positive’s Unified Team trains athletes in the surf lifesaving sports of open water prone paddling and swimming. Not long ago, some of these athletes may have been surfers, swimmers or lifeguards, with goals that involved activities in the water before a single event forever altered how or even if those goals could be achieved. We wanted to join them in achieving their goals of becoming independent and empowered.
